"G-d is not dead... and He will not be mocked..."
As a member of the hip-hop community, I feel almost a duty to repost this.
Powerful words from Mos Def.
A hat tip and one love to Islamohemian for this video.

Oy, more violence. No one has answered the question, though: What is a cop to do when he must protect himself and the community from gun violence and violent criminals? They do their best out there, on the dangerous streets, day in and day out. They are brave. But they are afraid. They face hate, they face sin, they face corruption, they face weapons. And they have a split second to decide. Or they are dead. Black is not a crime. We must learn to respect everyone. But cops need to be alert to danger and have a duty to
keep our city safe. There are neigborhoods where crime has become the accepted way of life. What can we do?
